Automatically, I woke up at 5am to the sound of my mom plopping herself on the sofa bed in the living room. I quietly got up, made my bed and opened the curtains. I hate having to get up at 5am every morning. Especially now that I haven't been going to bed until 12:30 every night because of finals. Me: Gaby get up *I said while pulling at the batman sheet he was covered in* Gaby: Uhhhhh- Is it Friday yet? Me: Not yet kid, 2 more days. Go check the calendar. Gaby got to go to his little league baseball practice on Saturday, which meant I get the weekends to myself. But lately, weekend were for studying. I followed Nicky into the kitchen where he was staring at the calendar that hung on the fridge. Gaby: Today is the....7th! Me: Yup, now go brush your teeth. While he brushed his teeth, I threw together my lunch and his. I popped some waffles in the toaster quickly and went to my room to get ready. Although I didn't have a lot of clothes, I knew how to mix-match outfits so it looked like I had a bunch of outfits. I strategically matched a pair of white leggings with a purple dress and a white belt. I did Gaby's hair and handed him breakfast. It was now 6:15 by the time I had cleaned up and said bye to my mom who was groggy from work. Everyday we left at 6:20am to get to school on time. Gaby's school was only 15 minutes away, but my school was on the other side of town. It was a private school that I managed to get into with a partial scholarship. My father was paying the rest. I guess it was his way of repaying me for leaving. I ushered Gaby off and sped to school. By 7:15 I was at school tying my bike to the bike rack. All morning I had been receiving text messages from Shay telling me to check my e-mail or telling me random facts about the Jonas Brothers. Did you know that Joe prefers tea over coffee? Well there you have it! In case you are wondering, Gaby gets dropped off home by the school bus which allows me to work at the library.
